## Content Management Gets Smarter
WordPress 6.6 focuses on how you manage content at scale. Data Views, Pattern Overrides, and Block Bindings each address a different aspect of working with large amounts of structured content.
### Data Views
Data Views replace the traditional list table for browsing pages, templates, and patterns. You can switch between table and grid layouts, filter by any property, sort columns, and perform bulk actions. It's a modern data browser inside the Site Editor.
For sites with hundreds of pages or dozens of templates, Data Views makes finding and managing content dramatically faster.
### Pattern Overrides
Pattern Overrides solve a long-standing problem: how do you reuse a layout while customizing specific content? Create a testimonial pattern with editable fields for the quote, author, and photo. Use the same pattern across your site, but each instance has its own content.
Before Pattern Overrides, this required custom block development or page builder plugins. Now it's a native capability. Agencies can build reusable section templates with client-editable zones.
### Section Styles
Apply a complete visual style to a group of blocks with one click. Switch a section from light to dark theme, from minimal to bold. Section Styles work with Global Styles variations, giving you a design system that applies at the section level.
### Block Bindings API
Block Bindings connect blocks to dynamic data sources. A heading block can display a custom field value. An image block can pull from post meta. This transforms WordPress from a content editor into a low-code application builder.
For developers, Block Bindings replace many use cases that previously required custom blocks or ACF frontend rendering.
### Grid Layout
Native CSS Grid support for the Group block means proper grid layouts without custom CSS. Define columns, rows, and gaps visually. Responsive grid behavior is handled automatically.
### The Direction
WordPress 6.6 pushes the platform toward structured content management. Data Views, Pattern Overrides, and Block Bindings each reduce the need for custom development. WordPress is becoming a platform where you configure solutions instead of coding them.
